Lonely Planet, the iconic guide book company, has recently set up an office in India and is producing a range of guides for Indian travellers. Some of their guides are already published and would be available in the bookshops and on line web sites. I am presently working for them on the
Nepal guide. Unlike the international Lonely Planet editions which pack information but few photographs, the Indian series has a lot of photographs in each of the chapters adding to the overall colour and flavour of the guides. So next time you are in a bookstore do take a look at some of the guides for the Indian traveller - Bhutan, Singapore and Thailand to name a few are already published.
