I have a Tokina 11-16mm and on Nikon D90, that gives a perfect slightly widish point-of-view for street photography. It forces you to go more close to your subject to capture the drama and be part of it. A prime like 24mm is also my favorite (immediate second choice on my D90, and first choice on a FX body like D3) on any day.

Had a look at your website -- must say, some truly fantastic photographs there.Anjan Chandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11663890638053968904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932613559197877044.post-40359579548264022752012-07-09T11:02:46.374+05:302012-07-09T11:02:46.374+05:30welcome Subhorupwelcome SubhorupSujoy Dashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10207362961662482877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932613559197877044.post-49649456904330857392012-07-07T14:43:56.102+05:302012-07-07T14:43:56.102+05:30I experienced the same, shooting with a Olympus EP...I experienced the same, shooting with a Olympus EPL1 and 28mm Canon prime. The added advantage apart from easy shooting, the photographer disappears in the street when the camera/lens he carries isn't prominent! I think, the more compact one's setup street photography becomes more appealing.balahttp://www.pixelpainted.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932613559197877044.post-4081886923915188292012-07-07T14:21:27.584+05:302012-07-07T14:21:27.584+05:30I dont think I can remove the captcha from comment...I dont think I can remove the captcha from comments... isnt that something which is done by blogger itself?Sujoy Dashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10207362961662482877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932613559197877044.post-72549189033315574792012-07-07T12:39:46.764+05:302012-07-07T12:39:46.764+05:30wow, this was a great dialog and a lesson rolled i...wow, this was a great dialog and a lesson rolled into one. thanks for sharing, sujoy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932613559197877044.post-2205728819269987802012-07-07T12:11:51.306+05:302012-07-07T12:11:51.306+05:30The fun in using a prime lens is that it makes you...The fun in using a prime lens is that it makes your feet do a lot of exercise. You do not become one lazy photographer who sits at one place and keeps zooming in and out of frames.
Next time, please do a portrait feature using the 50 mm :-)

And pls pls pls , remove the captcha from comments :(Puru@ShadowsGalorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10717736256822277891noreply@blogger.com
