Sequoia National Park Winter | Photographs


One of the most beautiful National Parks of the USA but not as popular as Yosemite, Sequoia has its own charm during winter.  It is often visited along with the adjacent Kings Canyon National Park . Some photographs taken during a winter visit a few years ago.

Vital Statistics | Five Days Trekking in the Annapurna Foothills


South Col Expeditions trekked the Annapurna foothills for five days in the last week of December 2016. The vital statistics on this route are extremely interesting!The route map is given above in blue.  Here are some snapshots from the day to day statistics-

Annapurna Foothills Trek | Poon Hill and Ghandrung 2016

Nepal Himalaya A Journey Through Time | Book Launch Kolkata


The third book launch of Nepal Himalaya | A Journey Through Time - Photographs by Sujoy Das, Text by Lisa Choegyal,  Drawings by Paula Sengupta and Foreword by Reinhold Messner will be launched in Kolkata at The Harrington Street Arts Centre on Saturday 7th January 2017 at 6.30 pm. The book will be launched by Mr Meher H Mehta, former Vice President of the Himalayan Club  and a senior member of the mountaineering fraternity. The launch will be preceded by a photographic presentation on the lost kingdom of Mustang.

All are welcome for this launch.
